Based in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, we are an independent small business providing only the best quality knives and cutlery. Since we're independent, we don't have to charge retail store prices. We make an effort to give our customers the best price we possibly can!
At Bitterroot Cutlery we pride ourselves in honest quality service. Our customers are more to us than just customers. We value each one of them and do everything we can to satisfy.
Our knife shop is one of the few that remains from Boise to Seattle. We have an assortment of inventory like no other, and some of the best prices in the Inland Northwest.

Who We Are
Don Barner aka "Barney" – Owner
Bitterroot Cutlery was created in 1996 by Rick Clark. Barney purchased the business in 2000 and has been selling knives to customers six days a week there ever since.
Prior to owning the store, he was a meat cutter, so he is no stranger to blades. "I've had a knive in my hand for 23 years."
Barney's one rule for customers in the store is they have fun. "It's a toy store..we get to play too!" You'll find it pays to bring a smile. It puts him in the mood to deal. "I've got a retail price and a smile price. That way I see a lot of happy people in here."
Brianna Ferguson – Manager
Brianna has been around the store for the last five years learning the business. She is Barney's daughter, so that helps. " I love the atmosphere of the store. We really have fun playing & dealing. Customers become friends. It's not your average store."
All of the customers know and love the "shop dog" Beka. She has been in the store almost everyday since 1996 greeting customers faithfully!
